IT infrastructure specialist moves into another company building in the Waldviertel
On 16. June 2023, the EPS Electric Power Systems team celebrated the opening of the new company location in Dietmanns (Lower Austria). Among the numerous guests were u. a. Member of the National Council Lukas Brandweiner and Mayor Christian Laister, who also congratulated on the company’s 25th anniversary.
Dietmanns/Maria Anzbach, on 16. June 2023 – After more than three years of construction, data center and server room specialist EPS Electric Power Systems has moved into another company location at Dietmanns 49 in the Waldviertel. Together with around 200 guests from politics and business as well as customers and business partners, it has now been ceremoniously opened. Mayor Christian Laister congratulated on site in his home municipality: “EPS has been an important employer for the entire region for many years. I am therefore very pleased that additional jobs will be created with an additional location in my municipality and that we can offer qualified employees here in Dietmanns an attractive offer with a wide range of tasks.”
Member of the National Council Lukas Brandweiner was also personally present at the opening ceremony and expressed his congratulations: “In the Waldviertel, not only the poppies are blooming, but also the ideas and the innovative entrepreneurial spirit. EPS’s new company location is the best example of how the Waldviertel is a dynamic and attractive business location. We are proud of this and look forward to the successful further development of EPS into a strong company and reliable employer in my home region,” says Brandweiner.
Josef Frühwirth, Managing Director of EPS, is pleased that the new building is now going into operation: “It is with pride and great anticipation that we are opening our new company location today. This step is crucial for us to continue to grow and strengthen our presence in the Central European region. Our building was equipped with the latest technologies and built in a resource-saving manner and symbolises our claim not only to be economically successful, but also to fulfil our responsibility towards the environment. As a family-owned company, it is important to us to offer our employees a modern and friendly working environment in which they can fully develop their potential.”
Modern and sustainable workplace
With the new location, the owner-managed company complements its headquarters in Maria Anzbach (Sankt Pölten-Land district) and another location in Groß Gerungs (also in the Waldviertel). At the new headquarters, around 25 employees will be responsible for sales and project management for data center infrastructures and the associated service department, the so-called “managed service”. The team of technicians, salespeople and project managers has a four-storey building with a total usable area of over 2,000 square metres at their disposal. Parts of it are u. a. as a warehouse and as a production area for data centers.
During construction, special attention was paid to sustainability and innovation, not only with the water-brine heat pump heating. Thanks to the in-house photovoltaic system on the walls and roof, more energy is produced than consumed on an annual average and a large rainwater tank provides cooling and serves as extinguishing water. The workplaces are modern and employee-friendly with height-adjustable desks, a large lounge and modern kitchens.
25 years of EPS: From a one-man company to an internationally active SME
For the family business, there is a double reason to celebrate in 2023, because in addition to the company expansion, the company’s 25th anniversary is also coming up. Founded in 1998 by Josef Frühwirth in Maria Anzbach (Lower Austria), the SME can look back on an impressive development more than two decades later: it has grown from a one-man operation to currently 50 employees.
