Server room cell as a room-in-room solution
The data center cell provides increased protection for your IT infrastructure and creates a well-defined, controllable environment within existing buildings. The IT security cell system is designed to be dust-free and can be easily integrated into almost any building structure – regardless of whether it is a new building or an existing property. This means that the server room cell offers a particularly high level of physical protection while at the same time offering maximum flexibility in planning and implementation.
Technical components such as air conditioning, fire detection or extinguishing gas systems are individually integrated according to customer requirements and precisely tailored to the requirements of the IT department. Aspects such as energy efficiency, maintenance accessibility and scalability can also be taken into account. Whether it’s fire, extinguishing water, building moisture, dust or unauthorized access – the server room cell – as a room-in-room solution – reliably protects your IT from these influences and thus significantly reduces the risk of failure. It is therefore the optimal solution for the safe storage of all your hardware with security requirements that go beyond the classic F90 protection. On request, the IT security cell can also be TÜV-certified according to DIN EN 50600, which officially confirms a high quality and security standard.
Another advantage of the room-in-room solution is its rapid implementation. While conventional server rooms often have to be planned and built at great expense, the data center cell can be built modularly and expanded or adapted if necessary. This means short project durations and a high level of investment security. At the same time, the existing building structure is protected, as no extensive structural interventions are required.
Potential hazards, tests and conditions for the server room cell:
Fire/Fire:
The cell meets the highest requirements in fire protection according to DIN 4102 in classes F90 to F120. This means that the structure can withstand a fire for a period of 90 to 120 minutes. In addition, limit values based on EN 1047-2 are complied with, which also protects sensitive IT systems from the effects of heat.
Diffusion and extinguishing water protection:
The safety cell is designed against strong jets of water in accordance with protection class IP56 according to EN 60529. In addition, it protects against standing water and prevents moisture from penetrating due to a diffusion-tight design. This is ensured by a conclusive connection of the wall and ceiling elements and confirmed by TÜV certificates.
Dust protection:
The data center cell also offers reliable protection against dust particles in accordance with IP56 in accordance with EN 60529. This is especially important for sensitive IT systems, as even the smallest particles can affect the function and lifespan of hardware.
Unwanted access:
The safety cell corresponds to resistance class RC3 (formerly WK3) according to DIN V ENV 1627. This ensures effective protection against burglary attempts. In addition, access control systems, video surveillance or alarm systems can be integrated.
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility):
According to the report, the construction can also meet requirements for electromagnetic compatibility. This minimizes interference from external electromagnetic influences and ensures stable operation of the IT systems.
In summary, the server room cell offers a holistic security solution for modern IT infrastructures. It combines structural protection, technical equipment and standard-compliant design in a flexible system that can be individually adapted. Companies thus benefit from maximum security, high availability and a future-proof investment in the protection of their digital core processes.
