Regulated Cooling Solution – RCS Technology from EPS
Through targeted control of the cold air, it is possible to cool servers with pinpoint accuracy, thus saving valuable energy and thus operating costs. The cooling air is blown into the double floor by the air conditioning system. This thus acts as a cold air distributor for the server room. Blow-in flaps above the raised floor cut-out supply the cold air shaft in the RCS Rack and the amount of cooling air required can be adjusted. If no cooling is required in a 19″ RCS rack (server rack), the fins are simply closed and no valuable cooling air is lost. The entire cooling air is thus only made available to the computers and thus no cold air is lost to the room. The servers absorb the air from the cold air shaft and in turn release the heated air into the room. Thus, it can be much warmer in the room. This ultimately increases the efficiency of the air conditioning system.
Modern design and stable construction of the 19″ RCS rack
The 19″ RCS rack can be stacked and also creates a lasting visual impression. The sturdy construction ensures a load capacity of up to 1000kg and adjustable 19″ profile rails make it possible to use the RCS server rack for all types of servers. The wiring rack (with a width of 300mm), which can also be stacked, allows the installation of 12U with passive components such as patch panels. This allows the freed up height units in the 19″ rack to be used for active components. The server cabinet is made of a 1.5 – 2mm robust sheet steel (RAL9005), which can withstand high load capacities and at the same time still looks modern. To ensure secure access to the active components and servers, the server cabinet is equipped with removable and lockable side panels. The front door of the server cabinet is equipped with safety glass and has an opening angle of 180°. The rear door of the server cabinet consists of a double-leaf steel door. The lockable swivel lever handles with the 3-point locking system guarantee the consumer an enormously high level of security.
High load capacity and extensive accessories in the RCS Rack
In order to use the server rack independently for all server types, adjustable 19″ profile rails (for depth, front and back) are available. Thus, it is no problem to use all server types. In addition, the RCS rack has a tilt protection that is helpful when pulling out deep servers. The large cable entrance of the rack is equipped with a rubber edge sliding mechanism that protects against cable breaks, damage and at the same time ensures the attachment of large cable bundles. To make it easier to mount the server cabinet even on uneven floors, it has height-adjustable leveling feet incl. Rollers. The 19″ server cabinet is completely electrically grounded. Our extensive range of accessories such as uninterruptible power supplies, shelves, marshalling brackets, fan units, sockets, etc. further increase the availability of your IT infrastructure and can be offered by us if desired. Instead of the mechanical locking system, an electric motor lock with the matching EPS finger scanner can also be installed for maximum access security and control.
