Fire prevention system for server room and IT
The innovative fire prevention system famuSOL7e is a complete system housed in a 19″ server rack . With the help of external injected compressed air and a gas separation membrane, oxygen is removed from the ambient air. This oxygen-reduced air is then blown directly into the room to be protected (e.g. IT server room or data center). By permanently monitoring the air in the server room area to be protected, an atmosphere is created in which no fire can occur.
However, the room remains accessible to people at all times and is therefore harmless. The air in the server room corresponds to human perception at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level. Due to the external compressed air supply of the famuSOL7e, an internal compressed air supply can be used. Maintenance and operating costs are minimized. By combining the fire prevention system with an early fire detection system (RAS smoke aspiration system), short circuits or thermally overloaded components can be detected as they occur. The spread of such swell fires can thus be ruled out by the oxygen-reduced atmosphere
