Intelligent Power Manager Version 2 (IPM 2)
Intelligent Power Manager Software 2 is part of Eaton’s Brightlayer Data Centers Suite and provides the means to monitor and manage power assets, both physical and virtual (disaster avoidance). Power management for your UPS system: Compared to Intelligent Power Manager 1, Eaton’s innovative software solution has:

- a new connector
- new energy management actions
- a new network FW configuration
Eaton UPS software manages the entire power infrastructure—connected to the network—triggers VM migration schedules, and shuts down non-essential devices so you’re always up and running during power events. Seamless integration with leading virtualization environments enables simplified management from a central location.
Improved performance
The new user interface provides layout views for data centers, server rooms, racks, and power. All managed hosts are counted as one node. Advantages of IPM 2 are: reduction of capital costs, less initial battery costs, fewer battery replacements required, less energy consumption, less recycling of batteries.
