FG-EC Sensor Cable for Water and Alkalis
Sensor cable FG-EC detects and locates the exact location of a water and base leak – at any point on the cable. FG-EC is designed to connect to the FG-SYS or FG-NET digital units. The sensor cable together with the leak detection system is ideal for data centers, stock exchanges and other critical infrastructures.
Intelligent Sensor Measuring Cable
The measuring cables can be securely mounted using circular connectors with threaded locking and are available in lengths of 3, 7 and 15 m. Each leak detection sensor cable is equipped with a processor that allows the cable to be individually named on the programmable control unit. The individual sensor cables report leakage and cable breakage completely independently of each other and reliably. It is possible to combine the FG-EC test cables with each other as well as with the FG-AC for acids and FG-OD for hydrocarbons. Branch connectors allow the measuring cable to be divided into several branches. A termination plug at the end of each branch closes the measuring circuit again.
Water Sensor Cable – Installation of the Leak Measuring Cable
Their waterproof connectors can be used to combine up to 120 measuring cables per control unit. Connection and connection cables bridge the distance between the measuring ranges and the control unit. In this way, even spatially widely separated parts of an installation can be linked together without influencing the overall sensor cable length. The installation is carried out by fastening clips on the floor, into which the cable is inserted. In the event of liquid contact, the cable can be quickly loosened, dried, and, if necessary, removed. cleaned and plugged back in.
Stable design and protection against liquids
Measuring and signal wires are embedded in a spiral shape in the carrier material made of a specially developed plastic (HDPE). This safety structure provides the measuring wires with optimum protection against mechanical and chemical influences. PEHD (polyethylene, high density) is chemically neutral and long-term stable. The wires themselves are electrically insulated from the outside. This means that no false alarm can be triggered with metallic objects. Only direct contact with water or alkalis is reliably detected and reported.
