Sensor cables for water and alkali leaks
The FG-ECS water and lye leak sensor cable has a spliced connector with a length of 3.5 meters (jumper cable) and an end termination. It detects water and alkaline fluids at any point along its length. The FG-ECS sensor cable has been designed to connect to analogue alarms (FG-ALS8, FG-ALS4 and FG-A) or digital units (FG-NET, FG-BBOX and FG-SYS via the FG-DTCS distribution box). It detects and locates the leak when it is connected to localization units. The FG-ECS sensor cable detects contact with a conductive liquid along its entire length. Connected to control electronics, it quickly and reliably reports contact with liquid.
Protection against liquids in the IT data center
The FG-ECS sensor cable is available in the assembled lengths of 3, 7 and 15 m. The sensor cable is firmly and tightly connected to a 3.5 m long, 4-wire connection cable type Belden. The sensor cable end also has a firm and tight termination.
Easy installation of the FG-ECS leak warning system
The connection to an FG-SYS digital control unit is made with the connection cable via an FG-DTCS junction box. The 4 wires are placed on the terminals in the junction box. Leaks are shown on the FG-SYS display with metre precision and possible sensor cable breaks are reported. The connection to the analogue FG-A or FG-ECS KIT is made directly in the control unit at the terminals provided. Cable breaks are also reported here. The sensor cables are attached to the substrate with their own clips.
Effective protection against liquids
The FG-ECS sensor cable is color-coded to distinguish it from other cables in the monitoring area, e.g. in the server room or data center. The PEHD carrier material is chemically neutral and long-term stable. The sensor cable made of PHLD is very robust and protects the inserted measuring wires from damage and false tripping. The carrier material of the FG-ECS is liquid-repellent and can therefore be put back into operation quickly after a leak. Monitoring with the TTK sensor cable can be continued without any effort.
