Sensor Cable for Leak Warning System Liquid Oil Leaks

The FG-ODC digital sensor cable detects and locates liquid hydrocarbons and their vapors along the entire length of the cable. It detects multiple leaks through independent digital addressing through a microchip in each FG-ODC sensor cable. For the detection and location of heavy oils, conventional crude oils, diluted bitumen (dilbit), synthetic bitumen and hydrocarbon vapors. The sensor element of the leak warning system has a very fast response, the detection times are as follows:

  • Gasoline: 1-2 minutes (depending on fluid composition and leak conditions)
  • Jet fuel: 4-10 minutes (depending on fluid composition and leak conditions)
  • Diesel: 7-12 minutes (depending on fluid composition and leak conditions)
  • WTI: 20-35 minutes (depending on liquid composition and leak conditions)
  • Dilbit: 30-45 minutes (depending on liquid composition and leak conditions)

Special features of the FG-ODC oil sensor cable:

  • The cable is reusable after the leak has been detected.
  • It is impervious to water. This allows installation in humid environments.
  • Simultaneous use with water or acid-base sensor cables is possible.
  • Easy assembly and removal thanks to pre-assembled sockets and plugs.
