UPS Battery System for Server Room

The battery system is considered an important component for the uninterruptible power supply. This increases safety in operation. The system is connected directly to the UPS system and serves as a backup power supply. This ensures that in the event of a power failure, the batteries together with the UPS can continue to supply the connected consumers (e.g. in a data center) without interruption for a defined period of time. After returning to the mains, the battery is immediately recharged and is then ready again.

Safety in operation

Safety in operation is achieved by using the patented Super Lithium Iron Phosphate SLFPTM technology in conjunction with specially coordinated components (cells, electronics, hardware, software). The EPS battery system is a fully integrated, ready-to-connect battery solution that is used in AC and DC applications.

Why are lithium-ion batteries popular?

Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable, the charge carrier is the light metal lithium in combination with other metals. Its high energy density, performance and long-lasting service life are the hallmarks of this battery technology. Lithium-ion batteries are used in a variety of different compositions, e.g. in smartphones and laptops, electric cars and other energy storage systems. Lithium-ion batteries for data centers , however, are subject to much higher requirements, especially when it comes to safety. This has been intensively tested and proven in our battery system by external laboratories. The short delivery routes (production in Europe), a combination with 2-pole and 3-pole battery intermediate circuit, black-start function, high energy efficiency and direct data access round off the battery system.

The possible combinations are manifold:
