RCS Rack 19 Inch
The climate system of the Regulated Cooling solution is simple and yet characterized by high efficiency and high availability. By controlling the cold air in a targeted manner, the server of an IT environment can be cooled with pinpoint accuracy. This has the advantage that not only valuable energy is saved, but also hard cash.
How does Regulated Cooling work?
The cool air from the air conditioning system is blown directly into the raised floor, which thus acts as a cold air distributor for the server room. A cut-out in the raised floor is then used to supply the cold air shaft in the RCS rack. The entire cooling air is thus only made available to the computers and thus no valuable cold air is lost to the room. The servers then take in the air from the cold air shaft and in turn release the heated air into the room. This means that the room is much warmer, which has also increased the efficiency of the air conditioning system. The amount of cooling air required can be adjusted by means of blow-in flaps above the double floor cut-out. If no cooling is required in an RCS rack, the fins can simply be closed and no valuable cooling air is lost. The saved cooling air is now available to other RCS racks.
