Rack and Tower UPS 1250VA-3000VA

Here you can find the successor model

The Eaton 5130 rackmount/tower UPS provides line-interactive protection while providing scalable battery life for servers, storage systems, VoIP and network devices. Eaton’s UPS offers: 1250VA, 1750VA, 2500VA, 3000VA UPS power levels. With its 2-in-1 rack/tower format, the UPS 5130 achieves up to 3 kVA of power in only 2 U (= rack units) rack height. The UPS battery life of the UPS system can be increased via 2 U battery expansion modules. The Eaton UPS 5130 has a UPS power factor of 0.9 due to its high compatibility with current IT loads – which is absolutely top.

The UPS system of Eaton 5130 offers the IT user cost-effective space in the rack, as it only has a 2 U format incl. internal batteries. With its power factor of 0.9, it offers more active power (watts) and can thus protect more devices while also leaving room for future expansion. The UPS system maximizes system availability with optional expansion modules, hot-swappable batteries, and optional maintenance bypass. It also increases UPS battery life for mission-critical devices via separately switchable load segments. Its 2-in-1 format leaves the choice between rack-mount and tower installation open to the user (four-point rail kit and tower stand included) and also allows for control and visibility through free power management software with an intuitive user interface.

Highest UPS active power

  • The Eaton UPS 5130 protects connected equipment from five of the most common power problems:
  • 1. Mains failure, 2. Voltage peaks, 3. voltage dips, 4. Undervoltages and 5. Surges
  • UPS output power factor is 0.9: This corresponds to more active power for the protected load. The higher active output power allows the Eaton UPS 5130 to power a higher number of modern servers than other UPS systems with the same VA value and a lower output power factor. The UPS system from Eaton is compatible with all current IT equipment.

Highest UPS reliability of the Eaton 5130

  • The load segment control of the UPS 5130 Eaton enables prioritized voltage shutdown of less important devices in the event of power failures. The reason is to extend the battery life for critical IT equipment. It can also be used to allow devices on the network that have “crashed” to be easily rebooted remotely. Sequentially restarting shutdowns on a schedule or restarting devices sequentially is no longer a problem with the UPS 5130.
  • By adding up to four external UPS battery modules, the battery life of the Eaton UPS 5130 can be extended to several hours. Each battery expansion module occupies only 2U = height units on most UPS models (3U at shallow depth and 3000VA models).
  • Thanks to the HotSwap technology, a battery module of the UPS system can be easily replaced. The operation of the data center or server room or IT room does not have to be interrupted. The supplied load is not interrupted. With an optional HotSwap maintenance bypass, even the entire Eaton UPS system can be removed and replaced.

Rack format or tower of the UPS 5130

  • The Eaton 5130 can be installed in rack format or as a tower. Both feet and rail sets of the UPS are included in the scope of delivery.
  • The 2U model (HE= height units) has been optimized for rack mounting, but can also be used as a tower without any problems. The 3U model of the UPS has been optimized for operation as a tower or in racks with shallow depths, making it particularly interesting for rack systems in telecommunications applications.
  • The Eaton 5130 UPS has a serial and USB interface, as well as a slot for optional communication cards (e.g. SNMP/Web card, relay card). This means that the UPS system can be easily monitored in a wide variety of network environments.
  • The UPS comes complete with the Eaton Software Suite CD, including SNMP-compatible power management UPS software.

The Eaton 5130 UPS provides power protection for:

  • IT & Network Environments
  • Server, Server Room, Data Center, Data Center, Network Equipment
  • Telecommunications, VoIP, Security Systems
