• UPS Dual Converter Technology: The Eaton UPS 9SX continuously monitors the quality of the power supply and regulates the voltage as well as frequency.
• The UPS system delivers up to 95% efficiency in online double-conversion mode. This is the highest efficiency in its class. At the same time, the Eaton UPS also reduces energy costs and operating costs. Cooling costs can also be reduced.
• The UPS impresses with a power factor of 0.9 and produces 28% more power than other UPS systems in the same class. As a result, it powers more servers than other UPSs with the same VA value and a lower power factor.

UPS availability and flexibility

• Thanks to the internal UPS bypass, UPS operation continues even if an internal fault occurs. The batteries are replaceable from the front side during operation = hot-swappable. This means that critical systems do not have to be shut down.
• The convertible UPS rack/tower format makes the Eaton UPS 9SX easy to install in any environment. The rack kit comes standard with the RT version.
• Stronger UPS batteries that also last even longer: Eaton’s ABM® technology uses an innovative three-stage charging technology that extends battery life by up to 50%.
• Up to 12 external, hot-swappable UPS battery modules can extend the battery life of the system, so that the systems can continue to run for hours if necessary. The additional battery modules are automatically detected by the UPS system.

Management Functions

• The new graphical LCD display provides clear information on UPS status and UPS readings on one page (in seven different languages). The LCD position can be easily adjusted and ensures an optimal reading angle for both tower and rack use.
• The UPS can measure energy consumption. kWh data can be monitored via the LCD display or via Eaton’s Intelligent Power® Software Suite.
• Load segment control allows for prioritized shutdown of less critical equipment to extend UPS battery life for critical equipment. It can also remotely restart systems that have “crashed,” perform scheduled shutdowns, or start the devices sequentially.
• The 9SX offers serial, USB and relay interfaces as well as a dedicated slot for an additional card (MODBUS, network or relay card). The modern plant also has a remote shutdown function. Eaton’s Intelligent Power® Software Suite comes with the 9SX UPS.
