Integration of the UPS device Eaton UPS 5SC
The LCD display shows the most important UPS parameters such as input and output voltage, load and battery life. In addition, the configuration options for the output voltage, the acoustic alarm and the sensitivity are presented. The Eaton UPS 5SC offers a USB and an RS232 interface. The USB interface is HID-compatible and thus ensures automatic integration into Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The rack and R/T models are equipped with a slot for an optional communication card (including SNMP/web or relay contact card). Eaton’s Intelligent Power® Software Suite guarantees compatibility with all major operating systems, including virtualization software.
Eaton UPS Management Features
The clear display of key parameters on the LCD display of the Eaton 5SC is just one highlight of the UPS system. Due to the pure sine wave voltage generated at the output in UPS battery operation, the Eaton UPS System 5SC is also suitable for sensitive devices. The integrated voltage regulator (AVR, booster/fader) of the Eaton 5SC UPS system balances a wide input voltage range without stressing the batteries. All measurement data can also be accessed via the included Intelligent Power Management software.
UPS batteries and UPS design
The compact design is particularly suitable for integration into vending machines and control cabinets. A regular battery self-test provides early warning of decreasing battery performance. The design of the Eaton 5SC UPS system supports the simplest possible replacement of the batteries from the front.
Communication of the Eaton UPS 5SC
The Eaton 5SC UPS system has a USB port and an RS232 connection as communication options. Furthermore, the UPS device comes with Eaton’s license-free Intelligent Power Suite. This allows servers to be shut down in an orderly manner in the event of a power failure, and all functions of the 5SC Eaton UPS system can also be monitored.
