Online Lithium-Ion Eaton UPS 9PX 1500-3000W
In the summer of 2021, Eaton is expanding the proven 9 Series UPS family, known for its robust protection of mission-critical applications. The new Eaton 9PX lithium-ion tower/rackmount UPS offers an extended battery life of 8 to 10 years. As well as a technology that allows for “set-it-and-forget-it” use without the maintenance and update problems of a UPS with lead-acid batteries.
The 9PX lithium-ion UPS for rackmount and tower offers a life expectancy of 8 to 10 years for UPS and batteries. The Eaton UPS 9PX has a power rating of 1 to 3 kVA, with low and high voltage options, and offers up to four optional external battery modules for additional runtime. The 9PX Lithium-Ion UPS has the same reliable features as the lead-acid UPS, including load segments that allow for prioritized shutdown: Remote Power On (RPO), Remote On/Off (ROO), and Output Relay Ports that increase control capabilities.
Other features of the Eaton 9PX Lithium-Ion:
- Battery: The Eaton 9PX UPS system with lead-acid batteries has an average lifespan of 3 to 5 years, while the 9PX lithium-ion battery can last up to 8 to 10 years, providing a 2 to 3 times longer lifespan.
- Weight and space requirement: The 9PX lithium-ion rackmount UPS is 20% lighter and the extended battery module (EBM) is 40% lighter than the 9PX lead-acid models. In addition, the lithium-ion EBMs are 1U and thus require less space in the rack than the 2U lead-acid EBMs.
- Warranty: The 9PX lithium-ion UPS comes with a 5-year warranty, which is 2.5 times the warranty coverage of the 9PX lead-acid UPS.
Why Eaton Lithium-Ion Batteries?
Lithium-ion batteries last longer and recharge faster. This saves time, money and reduces risks throughout the entire life cycle of the UPS system. While VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries have long been the first choice for UPS systems, the new lithium-ion batteries offer additional benefits while still meeting the required backup runtime, making them a safe and stable alternative battery option for UPS applications.
Eaton Gigabit Network Card
For connectivity, the Eaton UPS 9PX is compatible with the Eaton Gigabit Network Card (NETWORK-M2), which is the first UPS connectivity device to comply with both UL and IEC cybersecurity standards. This network interface card improves the reliability of the power system by providing alerts about upcoming problems and helping to perform an orderly graceful shutdown of servers and storage
