The EPS climate protection philosophy
As a modern company, we firmly believe that we can all make a major contribution to climate protection and a better future. The future belongs to those who invest in maximum availability and reliability with the lowest operating costs and start today. As a company, we would like to make an important contribution and have already been able to take important measures.
Our priorities for advancing climate protection:
Energy-efficient office and warehouse building at the new location in Dietmanns
Our four-storey “EnergiePlus” company building offers a total usable area of over 2,000 square metres with a total plot area of only 3975m² and convinces with other climate-friendly features such as:
Water Brine Heat Pump Heating
This type of heating uses energy from the groundwater and ensures an efficient heat supply.
e-charging stations
These are available for our EPS e-company vehicles and contribute to the promotion of electromobility.
Rainwater storage tank
Two tanks, each with 40,000 litres, collect rainwater, which is used for cooling purposes and as extinguishing water.
Photovoltaic system
A system with a total output of 96 kWp, half of which is mounted on the walls to ensure higher yields in winter. In 2023, the building produced 83.7 MWh of energy and consumed 78.3 MWh, creating a surplus of 5.4 MWh.
Regional ties
The connection to the region is reflected in EPS. The company headquarters in the Waldviertel is not only a location, but also a commitment to regional value creation. Almost all the construction and installation work for the new office and warehouse building was carried out by local companies, which strengthens the regional economy and reduces transport emissions.
Use of natural materials
During the construction and equipment of the buildings, increased attention was paid to environmentally friendly and sustainable materials.
Energy-efficient IT equipment
Use of modern and economical computer equipment as well as solid ink technology for printers and copiers to reduce energy and waste.

Networks and initiatives
Active participation in networks and initiatives that are committed to sustainability and climate protection. We have been a "Climate Alliance" company since 2010 and are increasingly committed to climate protection.
Energy-efficient data center
Focus on our EPS RCS server racks (Regulated Cooling Solution): This technology enables precise cooling directly in the server rack and thus ensures high energy efficiency in the data center.
Nomination for the Energy Efficiency Award
Nomination for the energy efficiency award "Helios" 2016 for the renovation of our company building in Groß Gerungs, in which a modern and innovatively designed working environment, combined with high IT availability and energy efficiency, was created using local resources.
Training programmes
Regular training and workshops for employees to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainable practices.
EPS Green Future
We are determined to continuously expand and improve our climate protection measures.
