Focus on sustainable data centers
On April 9, 2026, EPS Electric Power Systems was able to welcome a special guest at the Dietmanns site: Lower Austria’s Governor Mag.a Johanna Mikl-Leitner informed herself on site about current developments in the field of server rooms, IT infrastructure and sustainable data center solutions.
The focus of the visit was dendora®, the innovative wooden data center container. The solution was developed by EPS to enable energy-efficient, modular and resource-saving IT infrastructures – an approach that sets new standards both ecologically and technologically.
Focus on sustainable IT infrastructure
After a presentation and operational tour, EPS presented the concept of a data center that relies entirely on wood as the central building material. This construction method significantly reduces the carbon footprint while creating a flexible, scalable infrastructure for future digital requirements.
Managing Director Stefanie Gutleder emphasized EPS’s vision of combining technological excellence with ecological responsibility with the wooden server room container. She also underlined the importance of smaller, mobile server room solutions for data sovereignty in Austria – a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant.
Value creation in the region – innovation from Lower Austria
The Governor showed great interest in the technologies presented and praised EPS’s commitment to sustainable digitization and regional value creation. The visit once again confirms the importance of innovative IT infrastructure for business, administration and educational institutions.
