Especially in summer, when many agricultural machines are on the road in the surrounding fields of weba Werkzeugbau Betriebs GmbH, the power supply could sometimes cause tension for Jörg Mitterhuber. The IT manager of the high-tech tool supplier at the headquarters in Dietach recalls: “We often had the case that harvesting machines got caught in a high-voltage line. As a result, we could not guarantee a reliable power line for our production facilities.” The aim was to find a long-term and reliable power supply solution that would ensure the independence of the tool manufacturer and ensure production at both sites. The IT manager of weba found what he was looking for with a 100kVA diesel generator from the manufacturer Kohler SDMO, which was installed and commissioned by EPS Electric Power Systems GmbH, a specialist in IT power supply solutions and data center infrastructures .
Flexible power supply
A few weeks ago, the diesel generator was put into operation by EPS and has since provided a safe and reliable power supply at lofty heights in the production hall. Jörg Mitterhuber is happy about this modern solution and thanks EPS for the honest and open cooperation: “The high level of technical understanding on the part of EPS and, above all, the fast and flexible solution really convinced us. These were also the main reasons why we subsequently commissioned the EPS team with the server room project in the Czech Republic.”
